Life.exe – Are You running on Autopilot?
A 45-year career. What do you want to get out of it?
On average, we spend nearly 60% of our lives working. That’s quite a lot, isn’t it? And yet, how many of us really think about what we want from our careers? And whether it’s truly worth it?
Răzvan Delibașa, a CTI graduate, spent 10 years in IT, working for Intel. After 5 years, realizing it wasn’t his calling, he founded Romania’s first startup selling protein cookies, which landed him on “Imperiul Leilor.” He went bankrupt and reinvented himself professionally, moving into consulting and financial brokerage.
He is now returning to the university he graduated from for a discussion about career choices, success, failure, and the things no one tells you when you’re starting your career.
Specifically, we’ll talk about:
• How you define success
• How to avoid going on autopilot
• What it means to take risks
• Why sometimes the most valuable lessons come from decisions that didn’t turn out as you’d hoped
There are no universal recipes for success. Just real-life experiences, mistakes, and a few questions worth asking yourself before entering the job market.
Because it’s a shame to spend 45 years building a life you didn’t choose for yourself.
